Dokapon Gaiden: Honō no Audition

Dokapon Gaiden: Honō no Audition is a spinoff game in the Dokapon series, which simplifies the game's structure significantly for faster play. King Dokapon VII has decided to make a film about the heroic kings before him who defeated the monster invasions, and holds an audition contest to determine who shall play the leading role. Players take turns spinning a roulette to move around the game board, with battles or other events occurring depending on the space landed on; however, unlike other Dokapon games, the board is a simple loop which players progress through in a linear order. The game includes two main modes: Leading Role Audition is a singe-player story mode with 7 stages, each on a different map, while Battle Game is a multiplayer mode for up to 4 players. The game includes 10 playable characters, each representing a different class and with different attributes and special abilities. The goal is to fight monsters to earn money and experience; a dragon will appear after a set number of turn, and the winner is the player with the most money when the dragon is defeated.
