War Rapier 43210

War Rapier 43210 is set in the year 43210 when Earth has long begun to settle on other planets. The player takes the role of Uceda, the lazy and incompetent commander of the Musketeers elite unit. He has to save the French Hegemony from alien attacks. The humour of the game - besides poking some fun at itself and the game industry - mostly consists of profanity and sex references. The game consists of two parts. The first is a traditional adventure games: Uceda walks around the three screens, collects items and uses them on other items or gives them to other persons. The goal is to solve the psychological problems of Uceda's teammates so that they are more effective in the upcoming attack. The time limit is 15 minutes. The second part is the actual fight against alien waves. The action is shown from the side and the player controls Uceda. He can either use a ranged or melee attack, but each use lowers the power of his attack and defense. Not attacking at all for a certain time refills it. Additionally there is the turbo bar which fills after successful attacks and allows to use special abilities or passive skills. The statistics and available abilities (which can be triggered manually by the player) of the teammates depend on the actions during the adventure part.
