SEGA Rally 3 is a racing game in the SEGA Rally series. An arcade adaption of SEGA Rally Revo, it is technically superior as a result of running at 60 frames per second as opposed to Revo's 30. World Championship, Quick Race, and Classic are the three racing modes. Three stages (Tropical, Canyon, and Alpine) make up the single-player World Championship mode, which mostly adheres to the structure of the original Sega Rally arcade games. The player's starting position for one race is based on where they finished the previous race in this time-limited 22-car race game. Each race has two laps, in contrast to the series' earlier games. The player can participate in a head-to-head race on the additional Lakeside track if they place top in the third stage. Six cars (a mix of AI and human players) race three laps on any one of the three World Championship tracks in the single or multiplayer Quick Race mode. Six licensed vehicles from Citroën C4 WRC, Ford Focus RS WRC 07, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, Peugeot 207 S2000, Subaru Impreza WRC 08, and Suzuki SX4 WRC are available to players in World Championship and Quick Race formats. The Bowler Nemesis and the McRae Enduro are two more mystery cars that players can select in Quick Race. The Desert '95 course, which was rebuilt from the original SEGA Rally Championship arcade game, serves as the setting for the single or multiplayer classic mode. While multiplayer supports up to six human players without AI opponents, single player mode is a head-to-head race versus a single AI opponent. This mode is only compatible with the original SEGA Rally's Lancia Delta HF Integrale and sixth-generation Toyota Celica GT-Four.
