Mobile Suit Gundam Seed: Rengō vs. Z.A.F.T.

Rengō vs. Z.A.F.T. is the third main entry in Capcom & Bandai's vs. Gundam series, part of the massive Gundam anime franchise, based on the then-recent Gundam Seed series. Just like the previous title, it is a third-person arcade action game not unlike Virtual On, where the player can choose from a wide variety of different Mobile Suits and pilots, fighting for one of three different factions. The game features two main modes. Arcade mode has nine stages, where the goal of each stage is to destroy a particular target without being destroyed. Free Battle lets two players duke it out with any Mobile Suit in the game, either head to head or on a team against the computer. The PS2 releases adds several new pilots and units from Gundam Seed Destiny in addition to unlockable bonus features. The PSP release has all of the unlockable bonuses from the PS2 release avilable from the start, and also adds 4-player support and a new Mission mode which is similar to the Arcade mode but with a new storyline.
