Doki-Doki Universe is a single-player adventure game. The player takes on the role of QT3, a humanoid service robot left behind in solitude after a human family departs an asteroid, accompanied only by a sentient balloon named Balloon. Forty years later QT3 is retrieved by Alien Jeff and told his model is being retired for lacking humanity.
