The Very Hungry Pumpkin

The Very Hungry Pumpkin is set on Halloween eve and all the sweet candy lies around in the streets. This is fortunate because the player controls a very hungry pumpkin. This is a simple one-screen action game. The pumpkin can be freely controlled and candy randomly appears. However, there are also kids in Halloween costumes wandering around (always straight from left to right or in reverse) which also pick candy up when they reach it. If that is not enough, they also take away one of the pumpkin's lives if touched. Sometimes a clock appears which temporarily freezes all enemies. The goal of each level is to eat as much candy as possible before time runs out.
