Tacticolor is a real-time variant of Risk. Each match is played on a randomly created map which consists of a number of fields. The goal of each player is taking control over the whole map. The player can send playing pieces to an adjacent fields to take control over it. If said field is occupied by another player, the dice (each piece equals one dice roll) decides who wins. However, movement is restricted to once all five seconds. New pieces are generated automatically (the more fields are occupied, the faster) and can be placed on all owned fields. Before starting a match, the map type (e.g. in land rush each player starts with one territory), the map size and the difficulty (when playing against the AI) can be customized.
