Alien Syndrome is a remake of SEGA's classic alien blaster for its 3D AGES label. In the game, an alien threat has seized your spaceship and your mission consists of escaping the doomed vessel by clearing each section until you get to the escape pod in standard top-down sidescroller fashion. As you progress through the starship you'll find other survivors of the alien onslaught whom you must rescue in order to get vital items and aid. You'll need all the help you can get, as a time bomb also threatens to destroy you if you don't leave fast enough. Fortunately for this remake (which incorporates 3D graphics and newly arranged music) you also get full dual-analog controller support which allows for independent movement and firing directions, as well as 2-player co-op gameplay as added features and to animated cutscenes between levels.
