Gundress

Gundress is an episodic turn-based strategy game adapted from the 1999 animated film of the same name, which focuses on an all-female mercenary team who fight terrorists using powered mech suits called "Landmates." The game is divided into seven scenarios, which each consists of an adventure sequence followed by a tactical strategy sequence. The adventure sequences play out in standard Japanese adventure game format, with the player choosing from a list of locations and speaking with various characters to move the story forward. At a certain point, the mission will commence, and the player can adjust each of the five characters' weapon loadouts and then begin the strategy sequence. The strategy parts consist of basic turn-based movement and combat on a grid-based map. The game includes a second bonus disc, which contains a gallery of animation cels, illustrations, and production artwork.
