Diamond and The sound of a Gun shot is a negotiation adventure novel. While playing this game, the player plays the part of Onizuka Yōichi, a freelance negotiator who studied negotiations in New York City Police Department. The in-game negotiation system runs in real time, thus player need to press the right button at the right time to choose appropriate words to say to the negotiating opponent.
