Backyard Basketball 2007

Backyard Basketball 2007 is an entry in the Backyard Sports series and the fourth release in the Basketball subseries. It is different from the 2006 handheld game Backyard Basketball 2007. The game carries an NBA license and continues the concept of the previous games, allowing players to take control of kid versions of famous teams and players such as Shaquille O'Neal, Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming, using real teams, names and uniforms. Players can create a custom team of five players from a pool of 18 kids versions of pro players and 22 Backyard players. They have different stats based on inside shot, outside shot, ball handling etc. The game is in full 3D. Players are controlled directly and it is possible to switch between them. Buttons are used to shoot, dunk, pass, call for a screen or crossover dribble while on offense. On defense options include stealing, catching rebounds and guarding. There is voiced commentary, three difficulty levels and ten different courts. New players and power-ups can be unlocked. There are also options for the quarter length, fatigue, shot ring and fouls & violations. Next to the main Season game mode there are pick-up games, mini-games and Horse.
