Appleseed

Appleseed: Prometheus no Shintaku is a side-scrolling shooter. It's based on Masamune Shirow's cyberpunk sci-fi manga and anime Appleseed, and Shirow worked on it before creating Ghost in the Shell. Two members of ESWAT, Deunan Knute and Briareos Hecatonchires, must defend the fledgling utopian country of Olympus: one of humanity's last bastions on a world devastated by the catastrophic World War III.
